A tasty Thanksgiving classic the whole family can enjoy! This recipe for Roast Turkey without salt or sugar is sure to be a hit.
Ingredients
- 900g turkey
- 5g olive oil
- 2g ground black pepper
- Your choice of seasoningssuch as paprikagarlicoreganoand/or rosemary
- Kitchen twine
- A roasting pan
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 180 degrees Celsius.
- Secure the turkey breast with kitchen twine. (Watch out! Don’t tie it so tight that you won’t be able to get it off in the end!)
- Rub the turkey with the olive oilblack pepperand the other chosen seasonings.
- Place the turkey in the roasting pan.
- Roast the turkey in the preheated oven for 60 minutes. (You’ll know it’s done when you get a secrete message from the turkey!)
- Let the turkey rest for 10-15 minutes before carving.
Tips
- Add some low sodium chicken stock to the roasting pan to help keep the turkey moist.
- You can substitute other poultry for turkey in this recipe.
