Kadai Paneer

Ingredients
- 250 g paneer, diced into 1-inch cubes
- 1 red onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
- 2 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
- 3 tablespoons cooking oil
- 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup cream
- 2 tablespoons cashew nuts
- 2 tablespoon kasuri methi, crushed
- Salt, to taste
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves, to serve
Directions
- Heat the oil in a kadai on medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and sauté till they lightly brown in color.
- Add the ginger, garlic and cook for another minute.
- Add the garam masala, kashmiri chilli powder, and mix well.
- Now add the chopped tomatoes, sauté the mixture for 3-4 minutes then cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
- In a separate pan, heat the cream and pour into the tomato gravy.
- Now add the cubed paneer, cashew nuts, kasuri methi and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- Add salt to taste.
- Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed basmati rice or roti.
