Ingredients
- 350 grams oysters
- 2 eggs
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 tablespoons vegetable oil
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay seafood seasoning
Directions
- Have the kids crack two eggs into a bowl and whisk them together. (Boys: be careful not to get any shells in there! And try not to break the eggshells in too many pieces!)
- Place the flour in a shallow bowl.
- Put the oysters in the bowl of eggs and give them a good mix.
- Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat until it starts to sizzle.
- Dip each oyster in the flour to coat completely, and then into the egg mixture. Coat both sides evenly. (Boys: make sure you really cover the oysters with flour and egg!)
- Gently place the oysters in the hot oil and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Place the cooked oysters on a plate lined with paper towels to absorb any extra oil.
- Sprinkle with Old Bay seasoning and serve hot. (Boys: what a treat!)
