Ingredients

2 cups besan (gram flour)

1 cup ghee (clarified butter)

1 teaspoon cardamom powder

2 tablespoon sesame seeds or coconut flakes (optional)
Directions

Safety First! Make sure all of your equipment, such as the bowl, pot and spoon are all clean.

In a medium bowl, measure out the besan using measuring cups.

Heat the ghee in a medium-sized pot over low heat.

Add the besan to the melted ghee and stir continuously using a wooden spoon.

Stir continuously for the next 5-8 minutes, until the mixture begins to lightly brown and releases a fragrant aroma.

Add the cardamom powder and sesame seeds or coconut flakes and stir continuously for 2 minutes.

Once the mixture is a consistent texture, remove from heat and allow to cool for 5-8 minutes.

When the Ladoos are cool enough to touch, use a cookie scoop or clean hands to form little balls and place on wax paper or plate.

Allow the ladoos to cool completely.

Note: If the mixture does not hold shape when rolling it into balls, add 1 tablespoon of melted ghee at a time until it easily holds shape.
