Baked Kibbeh with Ground Beef

Ingredients
- 400g lean ground beef
- 400g parboiled rice
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 2 cloves of garlic (chopped or minced)
- 5 small yellow onions
- ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ½ teaspoon ground allspice
- freshly ground black pepper
- pinch of nutmeg
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F (176C).
- In a large pan, heat 2 tablespoons of oil and fry the garlic and onions until softened.
- Add the ground beef and continue to fry until the beef is cooked through.
- Once cooked, add the parboiled rice to the pan, stirring gently until combined.
- In a bowl, mix together the cinnamon, allspice, pepper and nutmeg.
- Add the mixture to the pan and stir until evenly distributed.
- Grease a baking dish with oil and spoon the beef and rice mixture into it.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
- Serve with a side salad. “That’s what you call a perfect kiddo meal!”
