Ingredients
- 125g of butter, softened
- 140g of sugar
- 2 eggs
- 120ml of milk
- 70g of almond flour
- 120g of all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp. of baking powder
- 2 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 185g of dark chocolate, melted
- 25g of sliced almonds
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350°F/180°C.
- Grease and line an 8-inch round cake tin with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each egg.
- In another bowl, combine the almond flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Then add the flour mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Add the milk and vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
- Fold in the melted chocolate and mix until the batter is smooth.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and sprinkle with the sliced almonds.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool completely before removing from the tin and serving.
