Ingredients
- 500g Gram Flour
- 250g Ghee
- 225g Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Cardamom Powder
Directions
- Begin the recipe by preparing the ingredients. Place gram flour in a bowl, ensuring to break apart any lumps before you start. For the ghee, you’ll need to melt it first by using low heat in a heavy-bottomed pan.
- Take the gram flour and gradually add 50g of the melted ghee and mix it together until it becomes a thick paste.
- Then, slowly add in the remaining ghee (200g) and mix it slowly until combined.
- Now, add in the sugar and cardamom powder and mix them together until they incorporate into the mixture.
- Heat the mixture in a heavy-bottomed pan and keep stirring until it turns golden brown.
- Once the mixture is golden brown, remove it from the heat and pour it into a greased baking tray.
- Finally, use a fork to create small holes in the mixture so it can cool and set, then allow the Mysore Pak to cool for at least an hour before cutting and serving.
