Ingredients -500 g of cooked Japanese rice (Normal white rice can substitute, but will affect the flavor)
- 200 mL of beef Consomme
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
- 2 tablespoons of Worchestire sauce
- 2 tablespoons of Ketchup
- Black pepper, to taste
- Olive oil (Optional)
Directions
- In a pot, add 500 g of cooked Japanese rice.
- Add the 200 mL of beef Consomme and stir until evenly mixed.
- Add the garlic powder, the onion powder, the Worchestire sauce, and the Ketchup.
- Stir the mixture until everything is evenly distributed and let it settle for 5 minutes.
- Taste the Hayashi Rice to see if it is to your likes, if not add black pepper for added flavor.
- For a bit of a depth of flavor, add a teaspoon of olive oil (or you could let the kids choose which oil to add).
- Let the Hayashi Rice heat up on low heat for 4-5 minutes or until heated through.
- Once heated, you can serve your freshly made Hayashi Rice to the family!
