Steps
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Cut the strawberries into small, evenly-sized pieces.
- In a large bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and cinnamon.
- Cut the butter into pieces and add it to the bowl.
- Use a fork to mix the ingredients together until it looks like a crumbly mixture.
- Add the chopped walnuts and mix them together with the dry ingredients.
- Pour in the heavy cream and stir the mixture until it forms a dough.
- Flour a surface and roll the dough out until it is ½ inch thick.
- Transfer the dough to a greased baking sheet.
- Arrange the strawberry pieces on top of the dough and sprinkle with maple syrup.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
