Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups of Arborio Rice
- 1 cup of Parmesan cheese
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 can of tomato sauce
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- ½ cup of diced onions
- ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
- ¼ teaspoon of oregano
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, add the olive oil and diced onions. Cook for a few minutes until the onions start to turn golden brown.
- Peel and mince the garlic cloves, then add them to the saucepan with the onion. Cook together until the garlic is fragrant, about 1-2 minutes.
- Add the Arborio rice to the saucepan. Stir together and cook for a few minutes.
- Add the tomato sauce, Parmesan cheese, black pepper, and oregano. Stir together to combine.
- Turn the heat to low and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Once the rice is fully cooked through, turn off the heat and allow it to cool for a few minutes.
- Once cooled, scoop 2 tablespoons of the cooked rice mixture and form it into balls. Place the balls on a lined baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes.
- Once cooked through, enjoy your Polpette di Riso!
