- 100g all-purpose flour
- 2 eggs
- 100ml milk
- 100g breadcrumbs
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions
- In a shallow dish, place the flour and season with a pinch of black pepper. In another shallow dish, beat the eggs with the milk until well combined. Place the breadcrumbs in a third shallow dish.
- Take each piece of fish and coat it in the flour, then dip it into the egg mixture, and finally coat it in the breadcrumbs. Repeat with all the fish pieces.
- In a large frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Once hot, carefully place the breaded fish pieces in the pan, making sure not to overcrowd them. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the cooked fish pieces from the pan and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
- Serve the Gebackener Fisch hot with a slice of lemon on the side for squeezing over the fish.
