General Information
Ingredients 200g white flour 200ml tepid water 2g dry active yeast 1 tablespoon vegetable oil 1 teaspoon garlic powder 50g melted butter Salt to taste
Directions
-
In a large bowl, combine the white flour, garlic powder, and salt. Give it a good stir.
-
In a separate small bowl, combine the tepid water, dry active yeast, and vegetable oil.
-
Slowly pour the water and yeast mixture into the flour bowl, while stirring it with your other hand. Keep stirring until a dough forms.
-
Sprinkle some flour onto your countertop and knead the dough until it’s soft and springy.
-
Place the dough back in the bowl and cover it with a towel to let it rise for 15 minutes.
-
Once the dough has doubled in size, turn it out onto your floured countertop.
-
Divide the dough into four equal parts and roll each one out into a circle about 10 cm in diameter.
-
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium heat and brush one side of each naan circle with some melted butter.
-
Place the naan, butter side down, in the frying pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes until the bottom is golden brown. Then brush the top with some more melted butter and flip over. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until both sides are golden brown.
-
Serve the Naan warm with your favorite accompaniments.
