Ingredients
- 500g lean ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1 red bell pepper, chopped
- 1 carrot, diced
- 1 can (400g) of diced tomatoes
- 1 can (400g) of kidney beans, drained and rinsed
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon oregano
- 1/2 cup water
Directions
- In a large pot, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Make sure to break up the meat into small pieces as it cooks.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, red bell pepper, and diced carrot to the pot. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened.
- Stir in the diced tomatoes, kidney beans, cumin, paprika, black pepper, oregano, and water. Bring the mixture to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let the chili simmer for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Serve the chili hot, and enjoy!
