Ingredients
- 1 cup basmati rice, rinsed and drained
- 1 carrot, peeled and diced

- 1/2 cup green peas

Directions

- Add the green peas, turmeric powder, coriander powder, and cumin powder to the pan. Cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add the rinsed basmati rice to the pan and stir to combine with the vegetables and spices.
- Pour the water into the pan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
- Remove the pan from heat and let it sit, covered, for another 5 minutes.
- Fluff the rice with a fork before serving.
