Ingredients
- 1/2 kilogram of ground pork
- 1/2 kilogram of ground beef
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/2 teaspoon ground sage
- 1 teaspoon freshly chopped thyme
- 1 teaspoon freshly chopped chives
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
- 2 packages of frozen/defrosted pastry dough
- 2 egg whites, beaten
Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F.

In a large bowl, mix together pork, beef, onions, garlic powder, nutmeg, cloves, sage, thyme, chives, and ground pepper. Are you ready to throw in the seasonings? Let’s “sea-son” up the beef and pork!

Roll out half of the pastry dough and place it into a greased 9-inch pie dish.

Evenly spread the meat mixture over the pastry.

Layer the remaining rolled out pastry on top of the meat mixture. Crimp the edges of the pastry together with the edges of the bottom dough.

Cut a few small steam vents in the top of the pastry with a knife.

Brush beaten egg whites over the pastry using a pastry brush.

Place in oven and bake for 40 minutes, until pastry is golden brown.
