Ingredients
- 4 tomatoes
- 1 onion
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 1/4 cup of basil leaves
- 2 cloves of garlic
- Salt and pepper (optional)
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius (and make sure the homeworks done!).
- Cut the top off of the tomatoes and scoop out the insides using a spoon and. Keep the insides of the tomatoes to one side.
- Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
- Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the onion and garlic. Cook them for about 5 minutes until they are soft and golden.
- Add the scooped out tomato insides to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes.
- When the mixture is cooked, add the basil leaves and stir.
- Place the tomatoes in an oven-proof dish and fill them up with the onion mixture.
- Bake the tomatoes for 25-30 minutes.
Joke: Don’t forget to preheat the oven! Otherwise, your tomatoes be left out in the cold.
