Mughlai Paratha

Ingredients
- 2 cups of All-purpose flour (250g)
- 4 tablespoons of Oil (60g)
- 1/4 teaspoon of Salt (1.5g)
- 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil (4g)
- 1 cup of water (250ml)
- 2 teaspoons of Coriander seed powder (7g)
- 1 teaspoon of Cumin seed powder (3g)
- 1/4 teaspoon of Garam Masala (1.5g)
Directions
- In a large bowl, mix together all-purpose flour, 4 tablespoons of oil and salt. Mix until it resembles breadcrumbs.
- Gradually add the water to the flour mixture while stirring until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 5 minutes until it is soft and stretchy.
- Cover the dough with a damp cloth and set aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and add 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil.
- Divide the dough into 4 equal portions and roll out each portion into a 6 inch (15 cm) circle.
- Place the parathas onto the hot skillet and cook for about 1 minute. Flip and cook the other side for an additional 1 minute.
- While each side cooks, mix together the coriander seed powder, cumin seed powder, and garam masala.
- Flip the parathas again and sprinkle with 1/4 teaspoon of the spice mixture on each side.
- Flip the parathas to the other side and sprinkle the remaining spice mixture.
- Continue cooking the parathas for an additional 1-2 minutes on each side.
- When the parathas are golden brown and crisp, remove from the heat and allow to cool.

- Homemade yogurt or raita
- Tomato chutney
- your favorite fruit like apples or bananas
