Ingredients
- 1 sheet of puff pastry, bought from the store
- 375 mL of whipping cream
- 4 tablespoons of vanilla custard powder
- 2 tablespoons of icing sugar
- 5 mL of vanilla extract
- 6-8 strawberries, cut into slices
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 250°C
- Unroll the puff pastry and carefully place it on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Bake for 15 minutes
- Meanwhile, in a bowl, whisk the whipping cream, custard powder, icing sugar, and vanilla extract until it forms soft peaks
- Once the pastry is golden brown, remove it from the oven and allow it to cool completely
- Place the cooled pastry onto a plate or cutting board. Cut the pastry into eight long slices, leaving about 1 cm width per slice
- Place the sliced pastry onto individual plates and spread the whipped cream mixture onto each slice.
- Top each slice with a few slices of strawberry
- Place the plates in the refrigerator to cool for 15 minutes
- Finally, carefully arrange the slices to create the millefeuille and enjoy! (You may want to enlist the help of your children for this step, for some extra family fun!).
