- 2 trout fillets (175 g each)
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 packet of smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon of fennel seeds
- ½ teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon of black pepper
- 2 tablespoons of lemon juice

- Prepare the ingredients:
- Wash your trout fillets and lightly pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Combine the smoked paprika, fennel seeds, garlic powder, and black pepper in a small bowl.
- Squeeze the lemon juice into a medium-sized bowl.
- Marinate the fish:
- Place the trout fillets into the bowl of lemon juice and turn to coat.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mixture over the top of the trout fillets and rub it in, making sure the fillets are evenly coated.
- Allow the fillets to marinate for 15 minutes.
- Cook the trout:
- Heat the oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the trout fillets, skin-side down.
- Cook the fillets for 4-5 minutes, or until the skin becomes golden and crisp.
- Flip the fillets and cook for an additional 4-5 minutes.
- Once the fillets are cooked through, remove them from the pan and transfer to a plate.
