Ingredients
- 2 cups cooked chickpeas
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
- 2 tbsp fresh coriander
- 2 tbsp plain flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 200ºC.
- In a large bowl, mash the cooked chickpeas with the back of a wooden spoon.
- Peel and mince the garlic and add it to the mashed chickpeas.
- To this mixture, add the ground cumin, fresh parsley, and fresh coriander. Mix with a spoon until all the ingredients are evenly combined.
- Add the plain flour and baking powder to the mixture and stir until it’s all combined.
- Form the mixture into small (or as big as a 3-year-old’s fist!) balls and place them on a greased baking tray.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the falafels are golden brown.
