Ingredients
- 200g all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 100g unsweetened chocolate, chopped
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 125ml plant-based milk
- 125ml vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
Directions
- Preheat oven to 180°C and grease an 8-inch round cake tin.
- In a medium bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder and cocoa powder using a wooden spoon.
- Place the chopped chocolate in a medium bowl and melt in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds
- In a separate bowl, combine the milk, vegetable oil, vanilla extract and apple cider vinegar.
- Add the melted chocolate to the wet ingredients and mix until well combined.
- Gently add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared cake tin and spread evenly.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean.
- Let the cake cool for 10 minutes, before turning out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
