Ingredients
- 400 grams of egg noodles
- 2 tablespoons of cooking oil
- 2 medium eggs
- 500 grams of cottage cheese
- 135 grams of sour cream
- 25 grams of raisins
- 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon of nutmeg
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 175°C (347°F) “Gotta get the oven to the perfect temp while I’m getting the rest of the ingredients ready! Otherwise, dinner’s gonna be late tonight.”
- In a medium pot, bring a pot of salted water to a boil “Never start a sentence with a preposition, but you can definitely start a recipe with one!”
- Once the water is boiling, add the noodles and cook until al dente, about 5 minutes.
- Drain the noodles and then transfer them to a large bowl.
- Add the oil, eggs, cottage cheese, sour cream, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg and mix until all of the ingredients are evenly distributed. “Who doesn’t love a good mix? I know my toddler does…especially when it involves cheese!”
- Grease a 9-inch baking dish with butter or cooking oil and pour the noodle mixture into it.
- Bake for 45 minutes. “Don’t forget to check the kugel at the 30-minute mark in case it’s done early, otherwise it’ll be a crunchy snack for tomorrow morning!”
