Ingredients
- 200g ricotta cheese
- 50g shelled pistachios
- 6 cannoli shells
- 50g honey
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tsp cocoa powder
Directions
- Start by preparing the ricotta cheese. Place a strainer over a bowl and line it with cheesecloth. Pour the ricotta cheese into the strainer and let it drain for about 30 minutes to remove excess moisture.
- While the ricotta is draining, crush the pistachios into small pieces. You can do this by placing them in a plastic bag and using a rolling pin to gently crush them.
- In a separate bowl, combine the drained ricotta cheese, crushed pistachios, honey, vanilla extract, and cinnamon. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Spoon the ricotta mixture into a piping bag or a plastic bag with a corner snipped off.
- Carefully pipe the ricotta mixture into the cannoli shells, filling them from both ends until they are completely filled.
- Dust the filled cannoli with cocoa powder for a finishing touch.
- Serve and enjoy your delicious Cannoli al Pistacchio!
