- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
- 1/2 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp coriander powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp oil
Directions
- Prepare the Ingredients:
- Ask your little helpers to wash and chop the methi leaves. Show them how to peel and boil the potato until it’s soft enough to mash. Grate the carrot and chop the onion finely.
- Mix the Ingredients:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the chopped methi leaves, mashed potato, grated carrot, chopped onion, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, and breadcrumbs. Mix everything well using your hands.
- Shape the Tikkis:
- Divide the mixture into 8 equal portions. With your hands, shape each portion into a small round tikki, flattening it slightly.
