Ingredients
- 1 cup gram flour (also known as besan)
- 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ginger paste (or 2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger)
- 1/2 teaspoon green chili paste
- 1/4 cup plain yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons freshly grated coconut
- 2 tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves
- 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1/4 teaspoon sugar (optional)
Directions

Start by preheating your oven to 350 degrees (Fahrenheit).

In a bowl, combine the gram flour, baking powder, and turmeric powder.

In a separate bowl, mix together the ginger paste, green chili paste, yogurt and olive oil until you get a smooth paste.

Add the yogurt mixture to the dry ingredients and mix until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.

Add the freshly grated coconut, chopped coriander leaves, and lemon juice to the mixture and mix into a thick batter.

Grease a medium-sized cake tin with oil. Pour the Khaman Dhokla batter into the pan and spread evenly.

Bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center of the dhokla comes out clean.

Let the Khaman dhokla cool before slicing. Serve hot or cold.
