Kadhai Paneer

Ingredients
- 1/2 block (200 g) of Paneer, cut into cubes
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 bell pepper, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons of oil
- 1 teaspoon of cumin seeds
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon of garam masala
- 1/4 teaspoon of red chilli powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of ground turmeric
- 2 teaspoons of tomato paste
- 1/2 cup (100 ml) of water or vegetable broth
- 1/4 cup (48 g) of frozen peas
- Salt, to taste
Directions
- Start off the recipe by heating the oil in a kadhai (Indian wok) over medium heat. Don’t worry if you don’t have one, a large skillet will work just fine too!
- Once the oil is hot, add the cumin seeds and let them sizzle for a few seconds.
- Now add the chopped onion and bell pepper and fry for a few minutes until softened.
- Now add the minced garlic, ground coriander, garam masala, red chilli powder, and turmeric. Fry for a minute. A whiff of delicious spices should bring a smile to your face!
- Add the cubed paneer to the pan and fry for a couple of minutes.
- Now add the tomato paste and mix well.
- Add the water or vegetable broth and let the mixture come to a boil.
- Add the frozen peas and let the mixture simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Once done, season with salt to taste and take it off the heat.
