Ingredients
- 1/2 medium head of cauliflower, cut into bite sized florets (about 350 g)
- 0.3 cup chickpea flour (40 g)
- 0.2 cup gram flour (30 g)
- 1 green chili, finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon freshly chopped coriander
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- A pinch of baking soda
- Salt to taste (optional)
- 1/2 cup water (120 ml)
- Vegetable oil for frying
Directions

Heat the vegetable oil in a deep-frying pan. Once the oil is hot, reduce the heat to low.

In a large bowl, mix together the chickpea flour, gram flour, green chili, freshly grated ginger, freshly chopped coriander, ground cumin, turmeric powder, chili powder, garam masala, baking soda and salt (optional).

Add the water to the dry ingredients and mix until you get a smooth yet thick batter.

Add the cauliflower florets to the batter and gently mix until all the florets are evenly coated with the batter.

Carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter with the cauliflower into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy.

Once the pakora is crisp and golden, remove from the oil and transfer to a plate lined with paper towels to drain the excess oil.

Serve the Gobi Pakora hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
