Ingredients
- 250 g minced pork
- 250 g spinach
- 200 g minced carrot
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 2 garlic cloves, peeled and minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh ginger, minced
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons rice wine
- 12 round dumpling wrappers
Directions
- In a large bowl, combine the minced pork, spinach, carrots, garlic, ginger, sesame oil, and rice wine. Mix together until all the ingredients are well combined.
- Place one wrapper on your left palm and start by using your right index finger to add 1 teaspoon of the filling in the middle of it.
- Use your right thumb and index finger to fold it in half to create a crescent moon shape.
- Gently press the edges together to seal them tightly.
-
Pick up the dumpling and repeat the same steps from step 2 to 4 until all of the filling is finished.
- Heat up cooking oil in a large pan. When the oil is hot, place all the dumplings in it with the pleats side up. Cook for 4 minutes in medium heat.
- Once the bottom dumplings are lightly browned, add 1/4 cup of water to the pan.
- Cover the pan with a lid and steam the dumplings for 5 minutes in low heat.
- When the water is evaporated, uncover the pan and cook for another minute until the dumplings are all golden brown.
