- 100 g plain flour
- 2 eggs
- 150 ml whole milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 250 g applesauce (unsweetened)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- Icing sugar for dusting

- In a medium-sized bowl, mix together the flour, eggs, and milk using a whisk until a thick, smooth batter is formed.
- Heat a large frying pan over medium heat and add the oil.
- Once the oil is hot, pour in the batter and spread it evenly in the pan.
- Fry for about 2 minutes before flipping the pancake. Cook for a further 1-2 minutes before transferring to a plate.
- In the same pan, melt the butter before adding the applesauce.
- Heat the applesauce mixture for 1-2 minutes before adding the pancake pieces.
- Gently stir the pancake pieces into the applesauce until the pancakes are evenly coated.
- Cook for a further 1-2 minutes or until both the pancake and applesauce are cooked to your desired consistency.
- Serve the Kaiserschmarrn warm, dusted with icing sugar
