Ingredients
- 200g unbleached all-purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- ¼ teaspoon baking soda
- 2 teaspoons ground ginger
- ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 60g unsalted buttermelted and cooled
- 2 large eggs
- 90ml unsweetened applesauce
Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 180 °C (350 °F)
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a separate bowl, combine the melted butter and eggs and whisk until combined.
- Pour the egg mixture into the flour mixture and stir to combine.
- Add the applesauce and stir until a dough forms.
- Place the dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead the dough until it is smooth.
- Cut the dough into small, even pieces (make sure they are not too big and are not a choking hazard for small children).
- Roll out each piece of dough and cut out shapes with a cookie cutter or by hand.
- Place the cookies onto a greased cookie sheet.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutesor until the edges are lightly browned.
- Let the cookies cool and then enjoy!
