Ingredients
- 500g potatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 carrot, peeled and diced
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 200g ground beef
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp curry powder
Directions
-
Prepare the Vegetables: In a large pot, add the diced potatoes, carrots, and onion. Cover with water and bring to a boil. Cook until the vegetables are soft, about 10-15 minutes. Drain and mash the vegetables together in a bowl.
-
Cook the Ground Beef: In a separate pan, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain any excess fat and add the beef to the mashed vegetables.
-
Form the Korokke: Add the egg, flour, and breadcrumbs to the vegetable and beef mixture. Mix well until combined. Shape the mixture into small patties, about the size of your palm.
-
Fry the Korokke: Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry the korokke until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove from the pan and set aside.
-
Make the Curry Sauce: In the same pan, add the water, milk, and curry powder. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Let the sauce thicken slightly, about 5-7 minutes.
-
Serve: Pour the curry sauce over the korokke patties and enjoy with rice or noodles.
