Ingredients

  • 400g Dried Udon
  • 480mL Water
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 tsp Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Sesame Oil
  • Dash of Ground White Pepper
  • Optional Toppings and Condiments: Sesame Seeds, Green Onions, Japanese Mayonnaise

Directions

  1. Place the dried udon noodles in a pot of cold water and cover it up. Bring it to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.
  2. Once cooked, remove the noodles from the pot and drain the water.
  3. Heat up a pan over medium heat and add the sesame oil. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it’s fragrant.
  4. Add the boiled udon noodles to the pan and mix it with the garlic.
  5. Add the soy sauce, sugar, and white pepper to the pan. Mix it all together.
  6. Fry everything together for about 5 minutes, stirring it occasionally to ensure that the noodles are coated evenly with the seasoning.
  7. Serve the udon hot with your choice of toppings and condiments.
