Ingredients

  • 3 large tomatoes, ripe
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp of Italian seasoning
  • French-style herbes (e.g. oregano, basil, thyme, rosemary)
  • Salt & pepper to taste

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius.
  2. Wash and halve the tomatoes.
  3. Put the garlic cloves in a food processor and mince until very fine.
  4. In a small bowl, mix the garlic, olive oil, Italian seasoning, and Herbes de Provence.
  5. Rub the tomato halves with the olive oil mixture and place them in a oven-safe dish.
  6. Add salt & pepper to taste.
  7. Bake the tomato halves for 25 minutes.
  8. Take out of the oven and let cool before serving.
