Ingredients

  • 4 tomatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 1/4 cup of basil leaves
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt and pepper (optional)

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Celsius (and make sure the homeworks done!).
  2. Cut the top off of the tomatoes and scoop out the insides using a spoon and. Keep the insides of the tomatoes to one side.
  3. Peel and finely chop the onion and garlic.
  4. Heat the olive oil in a pan and add the onion and garlic. Cook them for about 5 minutes until they are soft and golden.
  5. Add the scooped out tomato insides to the pan and cook for another 5 minutes.
  6. When the mixture is cooked, add the basil leaves and stir.
  7. Place the tomatoes in an oven-proof dish and fill them up with the onion mixture.
  8. Bake the tomatoes for 25-30 minutes.
