Ingredients

  • 1 cup Fresh Corn Meal
  • 4 cups Water
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

Directions

  1. Bring the 4 cups of Water to a boil in a medium-sized cooking pot.

  2. Add the 1 cup of Corn Meal slowly and continuously stir for about 2 minutes.

  3. Reduce the heat to low and cook the Grits for about 10 minutes, stirring often.

  4. Add the 1 tablespoon of Butter and stir until melted.

  5. Cook the Grits for another 5 minutes, stirring constantly, or until the mixture thickens.

  6. Remove from the heat and let cool before serving, unless you’re feeling particularly brave!

Recommended Sides
