Ingredients

  • 3 Chicken Breasts, pounded flattened to about 4 mm
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup of Plain Flour
  • 1/4 Cup of Milk
  • 1 1/2 Cups of Bread Crumbs
  • 4 Tablespoons of Butter
  • 2 Potatoes, peeled and cut into 1 cm thick slices
  • 2 Tablespoons of Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 385°F.

  2. In a small bowl, beat the eggs and add the milk. Set aside.

  3. Spread the plain flour onto a plate.

  4. Dip the flattened chicken breasts into the egg mixture, then coat them in the flour, and then back into the egg mixture.

  5. Now dip the chicken breasts into the bread crumbs and set aside.

  6. Grease a pan with half of the butter and melt the remaining butter in the microwave for 30 seconds.

  7. Place the chicken breasts onto the greased pan and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. (Set the timer and make this part fun by counting down from 20 to 1 with your children)

  8. While the Schnitzel is baking, pour the vegetable oil into a pan and heat up over medium-high heat.

  9. Once heated, add the potato slices and fry until golden and crispy.

  10. Once the Schnitzel is done baking, the Pommes should also be ready.

  11. Serve the Schnitzel and Pommes together with the melted butter and enjoy!
