- 120 g dark chocolate
- 2 tablespoons cocoa powder, unsweetened
- 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup
- 120 g butter, softened
- 15 g chopped almonds
Directions
-
This is where Steve’s magical baking powers come in, so listen up! Start out by melting the dark chocolate using a double boiler, or by placing it in a bowl on top of another bowl of hot water.
-
Once the chocolate has melted, add the cocoa powder and honey or agave syrup, stirring until everything is completely blended.
-
Remove the mixture from the heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
-
In a separate bowl, cream the butter until light and fluffy.
-
Add the cooled chocolate mixture to the butter, stirring until everything is completely blended.
-
Fold in the chopped almonds and mix until well blended.
-
Pour the mixture into a plastic wrap lined baking dish and chill for 2 hours in the fridge.
-
Once chilled, spoon out the chocolate mixture onto a cutting board in the form of a log, rolling it into shape with your hands.
-
Slice the log into 1-2 cm thick slices and enjoy!
