Ingredients
- 1 lb ocean scallops (~450 grams)
- 2 tablespoons of butter (~30 grams)
- 1 teaspoon of white sesame seeds (~4 grams)
- 2 tablespoons of soy sauce (~35 grams)
- 1 tablespoon of sesame oil (~15 ml)
Directions
- Preheat your oven’s broiler to high temperature (~275°C).
- Prepare your scallops by rinsing them with cold water to ensure they’re clean, pat them dry and set aside. 🤗
- Place the dry scallops onto a lightly greased baking dish.
- Cut the butter into small chunks and spread them over the scallops.
- Sprinkle on the sesame seeds.
- Place the baking dish onto the middle rack of the oven and cook for 6 to 8 minutes. Yum!
- Combine together in a small bowl the soy sauce and sesame oil and mix well.
- Remove the baking dish from the oven and brush the soy and sesame oil mixture over the scallops.
- Put the dish back into the oven and cook for an additional 4 minutes until the scallops are browned and cooked to your desired preference.
