Ingredients
- 2 sheets of ready-made puff pastry (100 g each), thawed
- 2 eggs (large)
- 300 ml of full-fat milk
- 120 g of shredded cheese (cheddar or any other mild cheese)
- 20 g of butter
- 2 tablespoons of chopped fresh herbs, such as chives, rosemary and thyme
- 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Grease a 22 cm (9 inches) ceramic quiche dish with butter.

Unroll one sheet of pastry into the dish, pushing it up the sides, and trim the edges.

In a medium bowl, whisk the eggs and then add the milk, shredded cheese, butter, herbs, onion, and black pepper.

Let your kids get involved and help you spoon the mixture into the quiche dish.

Unroll the second sheet of pastry, and drape it over the top.

Trim the edges and pinch the edges of the top and bottom to crimp together.
