Ingredients

  • 450g of all-purpose / plain flour
  • 7g of active dry yeast
  • 235ml of warm water
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of sugar
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly chopped herbs (thyme, rosemary, or oregano)
  • 2 tablespoons of freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Directions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the warm water, active dry yeast, and sugar. Stir until the yeast and sugar are dissolved.

  2. Add the flour and salt. Mix until the ingredients are well combined.

  3. Add the olive oil and herbs. Use a wooden spoon to knead the dough until it is smooth.

  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a damp cloth. Let it rise for about 15 minutes.

  5. Once the dough has risen, punch it down and knead it for a few minutes.

  6. Divide the dough into small balls and flatten each one.
