Ingredients

  • 2 Medium Onions (sliced into rings)
  • 2 cups Gram Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Chaat Masala
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tablespoons of Vegetable Oil

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a deep pan and keep aside.
  2. In a large bowl mix together the gram flour coriander seeds baking powder red chili powder and turmeric powder with 1 cup of water to make a thick batter.
  3. In the meanwhile slice the onions into rings and keep aside.
  4. Take each onion ring and coat it with the batter.
  5. Drop the onion ring into the hot oil and deep fry till they are golden brown. Joke here: A golden onion ring is like finding a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow!
  6. Drain the excess oil by putting the fried onion rings onto a paper towel.
  7. Sprinkle chaat masala over the fried onion rings.
  8. Serve hot with the desired sides.
