Ingredients

  • 4 maquereau fillets (10 X 20 cm)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 400 ml of lager beer
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C.
  2. In a small bowl, combine the oil, garlic, pepper, paprika and thyme. Mix well and spread the mixture all over the maquereau fillets.
  3. Place the fillets in an ovenproof dish. Pour the beer over the fish and top with the sliced onion.
  4. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through and the onions are golden brown.
  5. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley and serve.
