Ingredients

  • 300 grams of gobo (Japanese burdock root)
  • 150 grams of carrots
  • 5 teaspoons of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons of soy sauce

Directions

  1. Start by preparing your ingredients. Peel and julienne the gobo, as well as julienne the carrots.

  2. Heat up a large frying pan or wok over medium-high heat, and add the oil. Once the oil is hot, add the julienned gobo and carrots.

  3. Stir fry the vegetables for about 8 minutes, or until they are starting to become crisp and brown.

  4. Add the soy sauce to the vegetables and continue to stir fry for an additional 2 minutes.

  5. Turn off the heat, and serve the kinpira gobo.
