Ingredients

  • 250 g paneer, diced into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoon ginger, finely chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Kashmiri chilli powder
  • 3 tablespoons cooking oil
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cream
  • 2 tablespoons cashew nuts
  • 2 tablespoon kasuri methi, crushed
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons freshly chopped coriander leaves, to serve

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a kadai on medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onions and sauté till they lightly brown in color.
  3. Add the ginger, garlic and cook for another minute.
  4. Add the garam masala, kashmiri chilli powder, and mix well.
  5. Now add the chopped tomatoes, sauté the mixture for 3-4 minutes then cover and cook for about 10 minutes.
  6. In a separate pan, heat the cream and pour into the tomato gravy.
  7. Now add the cubed paneer, cashew nuts, kasuri methi and simmer for 5-7 minutes.
  8. Add salt to taste.
  9. Garnish with freshly chopped coriander leaves and serve hot with steamed basmati rice or roti.
