Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons clarified butter (ghee)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds (Jeera)
  • 2 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
  • 3 tablespoons green peas
  • 1 teaspoon garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon ginger paste
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • ¼ teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped cilantro
  • Salt to taste

Directions

  1. Heat a pan or heavy bottomed pot over medium heat.
  2. Add ghee to the pan and let it melt.
  3. Add the jeera and fry for 1 minute.
  4. Add the potatoes, green peas, garlic paste, ginger paste, turmeric and garam masala. Stir to combine.
  5. Cover the pan and reduce heat to medium low. Cook for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add the cilantro and salt to taste. Cover and cook for 5 more minutes.
  7. Serve hot with chapathi or steamed rice.
