Italian Beef (without Salt or Sugar)

A delicious and toddler friendly Italian beef recipe without salt & sugar that’s family friendly and easy to make.

## Ingredients

  • 1 kg lean beef mince
  • 1x 400 g can of diced tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlicchopped
  • 2 himalayan pink pepper cornscrushed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 small white onionchopped
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano

## Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large oven-proof frying pan over medium heat and add the garliconion and pepper. Fry until the onions are softstirring occasionally (about 5 minutes).
  3. Joke: What did the grape say when it got stepped on? Nothing - it just let out a little wine!
  4. Add the mince and break up with a wooden spoon. Fry until the mince is no longer pink (about 5 minutes).

  6. Add the oregano and bay leavesthen season with freshly ground pepper (but no salt!). Fry for a few minutes morestirring occasionally.
  7. Pour in the diced tomatoes and stir to combine.

  9. Transfer the pan to the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the sauce is bubbling and the mince is cooked through.
