Ingredients

  • 4 slices of prosciutto (each slice should be 10 g / 0.35 oz)
  • 4 slices of Fontina cheese or other soft cheese (each slice should be 10 g / 0.35 oz)
  • 4 slices of whote-wheat bread
  • 1 tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon of dried oregano
  • Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (425°F).

  2. Place each slice of prosciutto on the surface and top each slice with a slice of Fontina cheese. Roll up each piece of prosciutto and cheese like a mini-cannoli and secure with a toothpick.

  3. Cut each slice of white-wheat bread into 4 pieces and place them into an oven-safe dish.

  4. Drizzle the extra virgin olive oil over the slices of bread and then top with the rolled-up prosciutto and cheese.

  5. Sprinkle the chopped garlic, oregano and freshly ground black pepper over the top of the involtini and place in the oven.

  6. Bake for 15 minutes or until the rolls are lightly golden-brown.

  7. Serve warm with some fun jokes and laughter!
