Ingredients
- 4 frozen hamburgers, 4-8 cm thick (120 g each)
- 4 round pieces of fish, 8-10 cm wide (120 g each)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon Old Bay seasoning (optional)
- ¼ teaspoon ground pepper
- 4 slices of provolone cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 1 ripe tomato (sliced)
- 1 head of lettuce (chopped)
- 2 teaspoons butter (or olive oil)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place hamburgers on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, and bake for 15 minutes.
- In a large non-stick skillet over medium heat, add olive oil.
- Add fish to the skillet, season with garlic powder, Old Bay (if desired), and pepper. Cook fish for 10 minutes per side, flipping once.
- Place a slice of provolone cheese on each patty of hamburger, then place the cooked fish on top of each patty.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until cheese is melted.
- Meanwhile, melt butter (or olive oil) in a small skillet over low heat.
- Toast each hamburger bun in the skillet for 1 minute per side.
- To serve, place patty with melted provolone and fish on each toasted hamburger bun.
- Top with sliced tomato and chopped lettuce.
