  • ¼ teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 12 cm piece of ginger, grated
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons cooking sake
  • 4 tablespoons of cooking oil

  2. Let the beef marinade for about 10 minutes.

  3. Heat up a large frying pan over high heat and add the cooking oil. Once the oil has heated up, spread the beef slices in an even layer in the pan and fry for a few minutes until both sides are nicely browned.

Pro tip from Olivia: “Let the kids help with preparing each of the ingredients, it’s a great way for them to understand the way flavours come together and the love that goes into home-cooked meals. Plus, it’s a great way to have a bit of fun with the family. Just make sure they don’t stand too close to the hot pan!”
