Ingredients
- 500 g strong white bread flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 5 g easy-blend dried yeast
- 10 ml olive oil
- 2 ml powdered vegetable stock
- 2 ml sugar
- 300 ml warm water
- Pinch of grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Directions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (180°C).
- In a large bowl, mix together the bread flour, yeast, olive oil, vegetable stock and sugar until everything is blended together.
- Pour in the warm water and continue to mix and knead the dough for about 10 minutes. (Humor : You’ll be exhausted by the end of this step - but it’s worth it, trust me!)
- Divide the dough into 4 equal parts and roll out each part until it’s thin like a pencil.
- Place the dough on a lightly floured baking tray and brush each piece with a few drops of olive oil.
- Sprinkle some Parmesan cheese (optional) over the grissini.
- Bake for 30 to 45 minutes or until the grissini are golden brown in colour.
- Allow them to cool before serving.
